Nivani Productions is an independent production company and an open workshop for music, documentary and short films, animation and film music. Founded in 2011 by Nikolai Ivanov and Ivan Ivanov and is based in Sofia and Berlin.
Nivani Productions includes two main sections:
"Niko OM" - label for publishing and distributing music, composing and recording of film music
"Nivani Films" - production of films and animation
The company presents his debut film "In search of a great genesis" (Land of the Dogon) at the end of 2013. Also, the studio realized the music for the films "Vaptsarov. Five stories about an execution", "Galin", "Hvat Mitak", the feature film "The sinking of Sozopol ", "Salto Mortale", "Christmas" and the puppet show "Don't look for trouble".
Nikolai Ivanov is a composer and intense concert musician, artist and traveler. Author of music for over fifty feature films, documentaries and television films with different stylistic orientation. The french film company "MK2" in his series "Musique e cinema du Monde" selected also Nikolai Ivanov with his soundtrack from the film "The patience of the stone" ("Willy Brandt Award" Berlin 1998). Movies with music by Nikolai Ivanov have won numerous awards at festivals around the world, as well as nominations from the Milan Film Academy, award for best film music in Los Angeles for "The sinking of Sozopol" and four nominations from Bulgarian Film Academy. Nikolai has written music for over twenty-five albums, music for theater and audio books.
Ivan Ivanov graduated from Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee with scenography and worked as set designer on a number of short films and documentaries, some of which are directed by Bodo Fürneisen, Nina Grosse and Edward Berger. He worked as an assistant stage designer on big stage projects such as "Red Bull Flying Illusions" Berlin, "Evita" in Ronacher Vienna and others.
